About the Artist

Bilva has a Master’s degree in Sculpture at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, 2010. She previously completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art where she specialized in Art History in 2007.
Before she decided to pursue her higher education, she worked as a curator at Swasti Art Gallery and Mahua Art Gallery.
In 2008, she had an opportunity to travel around Europe to the sites and museums of everything she had studied and this trip helped her truely understand what she was meant to do.
In 2009, she worked in Mangroove Ceramic Studio and was an apprentice under Sharada Gopal (Farm Pottery) to refine her skills.
Currently she is focusing on ceramics and has opened her studio to teach pottery. You can contact her if you are interested in pottery.
